BROOKLYN

We're so excited to have our friends and family in New York for our wedding day! There's so much to do around the city, and for our out of town guests we put together a few of our favorite spots in Brooklyn for those who want to explore our borough!

TO DO

BROOKLYN BOWL

By night, one of our favorite music venues in the city. By day, a nice bowling alley with great fried chicken and a decent beer list. You can grab a lane and stay for the music. There's usually a band, followed by a DJ until late. Stacey's favorite cover band, Saved by the 90s, plays the Saturday night after the wedding.

Williamsburg:
61 Wythe Ave

BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK

This is our favorite summertime hangout, and it's nice in the winter, too. A walk along the East River from Brooklyn Heights to DUMBO with great views of downtown Manhattan. The Brooklyn Promenade is another great spot right above the park; one of your favorite movies has a scene there. On Old Fulton St., pick up the East River Ferry here for a nice boat ride.

Brooklyn Heights:
Entrances on Atlantic Ave, Joralemon St, or Old Fulton St.

BAM

Iconic theaters showcasing many different acts, from dance, to theater, to movies. Check out their program in advance.

Fort Greene:
30 Lafayette Ave

Nitehawk Cinema

Art-house dine-in movie theater playing retro throwbacks and new indie releases. Perfect for nights where you can't be bothered to sneak in bottles of wine and chipotle to watch a movie.

Williamsburg:
136 Metropolitan Ave

TO EAT AND DRINK

ROBERTA'S

While our favorite slice is Joe's in the West Village, no personal pie beats Roberta's. Hipster pizza at it's best. If you're intimidated, rub on some temporary tattoos before you go, and you'll fit right in.

Bushwick:
261 Moore St

DOUGH DONUTS

Extra large and fluffy donuts. You can find them in most coffee shops now, but the original storefront is in Brooklyn. We don't know if they taste better from the source, so get one from there and one from any espresso joint and let us know.

Clinton Hill:
448 Lafayette Ave

SUNNY'S

It's a dive bar that's very hard to get to! What else do you need to know? There's jazz in the back and warm cider drinks in the front. Sunny, who died this year, was a beloved and gregarious local who, legend has it, got along well with George Plimpton.

Red Hook:
253 Conover St

CLOVER CLUB

It's a cocktail bar. You've been to cocktail a bar--it's just like that one you've been to. Except everyone is nice and they make you feel welcome and there's less velvet.

Cobble Hill:
210 Smith St
